Keystone Construction Selected as Construction Manager for IU’s New Science and Engineering Lab

Indianapolis, Indiana – Keystone Construction has been selected by Indiana University as the construction manager for the new Science and Engineering building planned for the Indianapolis campus. The $20 million addition will be located on the southwest corner of Blackford and New York Streets. The structure will feature several laboratories and a vivarium which will support BioMedical Engineering, Psychobiology and Renewable Energy Research programs.
“This is an important developmental piece for the master plan at the Indianapolis campus. Keystone is honored to partner with Indiana University in bringing this project to fruition in order to improve upon an amazing campus that serves our community and beyond”, said Paul Okeson, Vice President of Business Development at Keystone Construction.
Keystone and IU will be seeking Silver LEED certification and will leverage BIM technologies to ensure proficiency. This is Keystone’s second project with IU. Work is set to begin January 2012.
